Prague has opened its first-ever steamship museum aboard the historic 1938 paddle steamer Vyšehrad, now permanently docked at Rašín Embankment. This unique cultural monument celebrates 160 years of Vltava navigation and offers visitors a chance to explore both a museum and a preserved vessel. First Lady Eva Pavlová inaugurated the opening, highlighting the Vltava River as a symbol of unity and inspiration.

Once known as Antonín Švehla, Karlstein, TG Masaryk, and Děvín, the Vyšehrad has been fully restored and transformed into a museum showcasing Prague’s maritime heritage. The launch is part of the broader Vltava Famous & Flowing project, which also features an exhibition at Prague Castle displaying over 400 artifacts, including Smetana’s original score of Vltava and artworks by Egon Schiele and Oskar Kokoschka.
