Japanese fashion giant Uniqlo is planning to open its first store in Prague as part of its European expansion. The brand, already present in 11 European countries, is exploring three prime locations in Prague 1, including Hybernia Palace at náměstí Republiky, the former Komerční banka HQ on Na Příkopě, and the former Children’s House building on Na Příkopě Street.

While no official date is set, the opening is expected after 2026, depending on renovations and leasing. Founded in 1984, Uniqlo now runs over 2,500 stores worldwide and its nearest outlet to Czechia is in Warsaw, Poland. If confirmed, the Prague store would mark a major step in strengthening Uniqlo’s presence in Central Europe and bring its signature minimalist style to the Czech fashion market.
