Travel between Prague and Austria is set to become quicker and more convenient in the coming years. The long-awaited D3 motorway project is moving forward, with construction on the final section planned to begin in 2028. Once complete, the new route could shorten travel times by up to 40 minutes, creating a smoother and more direct connection between Czechia’s capital and Austria.

Preparatory work is already underway, including geological surveys and tunnel studies.
