From October 1, Czechia has introduced new rules that make the process of hiring foreign workers more transparent and organized. These rules apply not only to non-EU nationals but also to citizens of EU countries working under standard contracts.

Now, employees can begin work once employers complete and register all necessary documents with the Labour Office. This step ensures that both employers and workers are fully protected by the law.

The regulation also introduces a five-day grace period. If an employer reports a worker within five days of starting the job, there will be no penalties. This gives companies extra time and flexibility to complete formalities without stress.

Additionally, if a worker decides not to begin the job within 10 days after being registered, employers can simply cancel the registration, avoiding unnecessary complications.

These changes aim to create a fairer job market, reduce confusion, and give foreign workers stronger legal security in the Czech Republic.
